| CONTROLLING TRICKSTER SPIRITS |
| Contacting the dead involves working with the spirits of the dead. These spirits along with a number of their friends will be visitors in your home at all times. You will be influenced by these spirits unless
precautions are taken to limit them. In order to do this you must first be in control of your own mind. A Mind that is clear and focused is
imperative. Burning incense can confuse or discourage the activity of the dead. Being selective is the key to the dead. Below is a list to guide you. Be careful when burning the type of incense that discourages spirits because you can rid yourself of all spirits, if you burn the wrong kind. A spirit has to truly be a problem, and little tricks may not seem so bad compared to losing the spirit world all together. |
| COCONUT: This incense works the best for me for the divination of ancestor spirits. They seem to be attracted to it. SANDALWOOD: Commonly Spirits are called to the place where sandalwood is burned. HEMP OR MYRRH: Spirits are also attracted to hemp and it increases psychic awareness. This one comes with a warning because it calls all spirits, which means that that the good and bad spirits are evoked. BENZOIN: An incense that can be burned after the myrrh to remove it's effects. FRANKINCENSE: Spirits who have high vibrations are attracted and it discourages trickster spirits. DRAGON'S BLOOD: Discourages and weakens spirits. Trickster spirits will not come around where this is burned. Will also rid you of your ancestor spirits. Be careful and don't use this unless it is absolutely necessary. HOUSE CLEANSING: Spirit influences can be reduced by washing the entire house with Mate tea. This is easy to find in health food stores. Clean the walls, floors, and the ceiling. This will keep spirits from coming back into this area. |
